Peugeot servicing explained
Our Peugeot service has an extensive list of checks. Our approved garages have the latest equipment, which allows our qualified technicians and mechanics to diagnose any problems quickly and efficiently.
Peugeot warranty is protected by us
European law, known as “Block Exemption”, changed in 2003, which means that Independent Garages can carry out a Peugeot service without making your Peugeot warranty invalid.
A Peugeot service with one of our approved garages means that your car service has its warranty protected, because we use genuine parts which are of “Original Equipment” (OE) quality standard.
All Peugeot service books are stamped on every Peugeot service we do – also each Peugeot service carries a 12 month Parts and Labour Guarantee.
The Interim and Full service schedule descriptions we provide are just a guide of what we do and will vary on what each Manufacturer service schedule says, some additional items maybe required to comply with your warranty. However, we always provide a complete quote before anything additional is carried out.
A automotive manufacturing giant since 1889, Peugeot officially started life in 1810 when the Peugeot family bought a cereal mill at Sous Cratet and set about capitalising on the Industrial Revolution by converting it into a steel factory.
The factory began producing sheet steel various tools but it was handsaws that inspired the famous lion emblem associated with the name. From the 1850s the lion emblem was stamped onto Peugeot made products to symbolise the strength and flexibility of the steel.
The forward-thinking Peugeot family were masters of innovation and creativity. In 1869 the company identified the new trends in vehicle design and began producing horse drawn carriages for the army. Throughout the latter part of the 19th Century, Peugeot were identifying the latest trends in vehicle development and developing forms of transport, and in 1889 Armand Peugeot exhibited the steam powered Serpollet-Peugeot at the Paris show. This was the first car to bear the name Peugeot.
By 1890, Armand had developed the petrol powered Peugeot Type 2, demonstrating the company's lasting commitment to innovation and cutting edge development. Just three years after the very first car was built, Peugeot was the first car manufacturer to fit rubber tyres to its motor vehicles.
This passion for development, a willingness to 'think outside the box' and a firm emphasis on design and functionality is the reason that Peugeot is still one of the biggest car manufacturers today. Never afraid to try something different, Peugeot still has a reputation for producing innovative and groundbreaking design that many other manufacturers emulate but seldom surpass.
